What is important, the process or the consequence?

Back in the times when technology was not deeply entrenched in our systems, there was less comfort and more physical hard work. A 60-year-old then was involved ten times more in physical activities compared to a contemporary 20-year-old. In as much as people in the old days were interested in the consequences of their actions, they were twice as much invested in the process. They knew that if they missed a step, the consequence will not be as envisioned. In modern times, life has become way too comfortable that this generation has a down-packed process with shortcuts to ensure a predictable consequence. There seems to be far less desire to experience and learn from the processes and instead of a better option of mastering the buttons. As we continue moving along in life, we are getting angrier and angrier as to why the stores are not stocked up with our favorite fruits and veggies yet we have money to buy the product. We have forgotten that our favorite fruit and veggies are a consequence of the soil, manure, sunlight, water, and seeds. Our clamor for the consequences has left our core foundations neglected, untended and unprotected. We are now wondering why we are lacking!
